BILINGÜISMO en el IES ALGAZUL

 Monica has shown us different Christmas traditions in Boston. Our students have been very interested and they realized that many of our traditions come from the American ones. 

 Monica travelled to Boston at Christmas break. She has taken some personal  photos of her city at Chirstmas time. She has shown us and she talked us about them. It was really interesting and amusing.

  It has been an amazing term!! .  We have to thank Monica , our language assistant , because she is very dedicated to her work.  We have learned curiosities  and customs of American people and we have even started a real communication with American students. Let me show you some of them !

 Monica has proposed a very interesting activity: Pen friends with Martha's  Vineyard High School students. Monica knows the Spanish teacher in that high school. My students have created  folders  in Drive with personal information .   We want to show our school to the Vineyard students, so our students took pictures of our school to share with the American students.  

 Monica, our language assistant, has showed us the high school  where she studied in Massachusetts. Throught the high school website, we have learned about extracurricular activities, different subjets , and the school schedule. Our students asked some questions so, they could know customs and activities in American high schools https://mvrhs.org/

 Our 3rd year students have welcome our conversation assistant , Monica, and they have helped Monica to know our city better. Each group of two or three members has chosen a topic related to our customs: food, main places to visit , seaside .... Monica has been very interested and this information has been very useful to her. She even took some notes.!

Students has written an article in English about the repertoire of a classical music concert. In this case and due to the circumstances of the moment, attendance at the concert has been virtual. The musical fragments has been shown in class.  Furthermore, other group of students has prepared a presentation about a musical decade of urban popular music in the Anglo-Saxon environment. En este caso y debido a las circunstancias del momento, la asistencia al concierto ha sido virtual. El profesor ha mostrado los fragmentos musicales en clase.
