ELEANOR IS COMING...........

When Eleanor joined us on 3rd October we began our classes with some presentations to introduce Eleanor to Roquetas and to familiarise her with the place. In groups of four, our students , chose and introduced Eleanor a topic about Roquetas: landscape, leisure time, shopping .....

We shared with Eleanor our frequently-used informal Spanish expressions to help her get to grip with the  local vocabulary and Eleanor in return shared some popular English informal expressions, such as " being chuffed", " a piece of cake" and "come on". It was a group activity with a qualification in order to get an informal atmosphere and get the students confident to speak in English.

To further get to know each other , we shared with the class our favourite personal photos and discussed their significance to us . This activity was very successful and we'll  have " My favourite picture 2".

Eleanor also encouraged us to reflect on our own culture when she quizzed us on the culture shocks she has encountered arriving Spain.

With students of the second level, Eleanor was practicing oral presentations about a favourite song choosen by  them.

Eleanor also has hold conversations with  reducided groups of students in some classes.

Eleanor was interviewed in our radio station answering some questions about Christmas.

In short , a term full of activities that we want to  go on in the second term.
